Iceland
While studying abroad in Florence, I spent 6 days over my spring break road tripping through Iceland. I was accompanied by four lovely strangers that I met on Samferda, an Icelandic carpooling site. As far as camera equipment goes, I shot all of these with my Canon 70d and used two main lenses – my Tamron 10-24mm wide angle and Canon 24-105mm. The real hero of this trip was my 10 stop ND filter – amazing for long exposures during the day, which lets you smooth out water and get nice reflections (like the 2nd and 3rd shots in this series). For full descriptions and reviews of all my camera equipment, check this out.
This is where a 10 stop ND filter comes in handy, smoothing out the water for a better reflection. For more info on this filter, check out my photo tutorial! Prints of this available in my online store, here.
Another great use for 10 stop ND filters – waterfalls.
