The Pool Cleaner - TIME Magazine
The 9/11 Memorial reflecting pools are each nearly an acre in size, filling the footprints of the North and South Towers with the largest manmade waterfalls in North America. For five nights a week, from midnight to 8am, it’s the job of a small team to make sure these pools are spotless.
I'm honored to have produced Josh Charow’s film on one of these devoted cleaners, Jim Maroon. This documentary is now playing on TIME and these are the accompanying images. Special thanks to the 9/11 Memorial and Downtown Alliance for making this possible.
